Team Managers – Single Point of Contact

Grade 16 – £50,448 – £52,482

We are looking for two Team Managers to join our Single Point of Contact. Croydon’s Single Point of Contact is the single front door for residents and agencies to contact where children and young people are at risk of harm or whether they require support in agreeing an Early Help offer.

The service is made up of staff from the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH): Metropolitan Police, Croydon NHS Health Services, Community Safety, Housing, Education and Youth Engagement and Early Help with strong relationships with other partners.

We have recently moved our Emergency Duty Team to be part of the Single Point of Contact, this team covers Children, Adults and Housing.

Working with our partners you will be responsible for ensuring children, young people and their families are the centre of everything we do. You will manage an Assistant Team Manager and social workers and play a key role in co-ordinating and managing the daily activities of the Service, maximising the contribution of partners to ensure that operational teams are equipped with the fullest picture when they make contact with children, young people and their families.

About you

You will be a confident manager, with a passion for creating change, creating change for children and young people in Croydon. You will lead by example, so a social work qualification and extensive post-qualification experience in statutory children’s services, particularly in a duty and assessment service is essential; you will need to have a thorough working knowledge of relevant legislation and practice that underpins child protection work.

Reporting to our Service Manager, you will have the skills to work with a range of colleagues within Children’s Social Care, the wider Council and partners across the Borough keeping children and young people at the centre of everything you do.

About us

What makes Croydon special is our people – both within the council and throughout the borough. Our diverse population has made Croydon a thriving cultural hub, it also makes it a truly unique environment in which to work and practice social work.

We can offer a development & learning programme to support your management and leadership skills as well as great benefits including 30 days annual leave, relocation package up to £8,000 and a pension scheme with an average employer contribution of 20%.
